A good selection of French dishes and lovely, confident staff. The space is absolutely beautiful, the appointments classy and elegant, the front-of-the-house folk are pleasant, welcoming and lovely, and the bar area...More, This place is on a bunch of NYC restaurant lists as the #1 place to be, reservations are nearly impossible to get, blablabla.

This is someone who is perfectly fine with Subway almost everyday of the week....More, Having read all the reviews on TA before we went to Frenchette, I was a little worried about the noise factor and food, food and wine as some people didn't like any of those things. We all enjoyed the decor and were very disappointed by the food.

Things definitely don’t veer into the fusion or experimental category at all, but you also won’t be eating a tuna tartare or an onion soup or a burger here. INSTAGRAM • RESERVATIONS • LOCATION Hours: DINNER EVERY DAY 5pm-11pm .

Nothing but a “we’re so sorry you didn’y enjoy” and to all a good night!Everybody has a bad day once in a while, and this might have been theirs, but the letdowns on so many levels make it unlikely that we will ever return to see if they can rise to another occasion.

Coming in 3 weeks after being in Paris, I naturally had to compare the experience to the real-deal French Bistros and the restaurant stood up admirably. They’re the kind of places that get 12-page Vanity Fair oral histories, and which go into the history books as neighborhood-defining and decade-describing.

It was obnoxiously loud! But in the meantime, if you want to get in on the action and eat some pretty excellent food, this is a very good place to do it. Can a gluten free person get a good meal at this restaurant? The minute we set down, we realized it was so loud that you can’t even hear yourself.

Can a vegetarian person get a good meal at this restaurant? French fries with a little pot of mayonnaise were amazing . In the event of inclement weather, meals ordered will be packed up to take home. The beet salad was eh as well. We were disappointed.

Pc of large cooked beet with a few shaved radishes. Think Balthazar, but for bankers, and with somewhat better food. INSTAGRAM • RESERVATIONS • LOCATION Hours: DINNER EVERY DAY 5pm-11pm . There’s The Odeon (1980-present), which basically made Tribeca a thing, and where Andy Warhol and Basquiat hung out, and where a lot of celebrities apparently did drugs in the basement in the 80s. Trendy, lovely environment with mediocre cuisine.

I think so....I saw a lot of vegetables on their menu as well as fish etc Where to get a weekday meal when you don’t have to work. Please note all reservations are for outdoor tables. Very tough.

On the other hand, if the words “funky” and “chilled red” are already in your wine vocabulary, you’ll be right at home. Great ambiance (incredible soundtrack drove the energy) and fantastic food. We tasted it and none of us liked it.

Gnocchi was an absolute delight yo have. Based on great reviews, we chose Frenchette. Everything that we tried was just superb, real french cuisine.Even though the place was loud, it is worth future visits!! If these are available, get them. But skipping it would have been a big mistake, because this is quite possibly the best lobster we’ve ever had.

Salads, pâté, carrots- yes carrots! I visited with three friends. The soundproofing does not exist at this place.

It was much too dry & flavorless unless you douse it in the chino hurt I said they served on the side. The food was an unforgetable experience starting with appetizers, main course and desserts!

What to do if they’re on...More, My SO hates noise, and this place is noisy, but said if we lived in NYC he would frequently come here for a cocktail/glass of wine, and the gnocchi for dinner. Map updates are paused. Wonderful food, fascinating non-traditional wines. Service was slow and inattentive: bread had to be requested, waterglass refills were a 3-ask task, we had 2 different servers who only took the orders and other people delivering food from the kitchen with no idea who ordered what, and nobody seeming to care whether we got what we wanted, liked what we got or needed anything else. They could not have been more accommodating. The problem is that the food is ordinary while the prices are extraordinarily high. All spectacular. The service was excellent, and conveyed sincerity about our dining experience. We joked with her that the items no longer available were the ones we wanted.. Pick the perfect spot for every situation. We ordered a few cocktails and then we asked for a white wine that would be similar to a chardonnay. Had a delicious meal & so beautiful drinks.

In addition to artists, writers, and that guy who walks around with a cat on his head in Nolita, downtown Manhattan is and has been home to a handful of truly legendary French bistros. Ile flottant quite airy, and chocolate torte not quite there; but an interesting try. Join FRENCHETTE in The Rink at Rockefeller Center for a late Summer pique nique! This place was total waste of money! Frenchette’s food is a mix of modern and traditional French. Quail was also a treat. We had a family reunion and were adding people until the last moment.
